Volvo Construction Equipment Partners with Unicontrol for 3D Machine Control Technology Integration

Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has teamed up with Unicontrol to bring cutting-edge 3D machine control technology to Volvo excavators. This partnership aims to make advanced technology more accessible and user-friendly for improved efficiency on construction sites.

The collaboration will integrate Unicontrol’s 3D machine control software directly into Volvo’s Co-Pilot interface, eliminating the need for additional monitors or hardware installations. Customers who order Co-Pilot with Dig Assist from the factory will have all the necessary hardware and software pre-installed, making it easier than ever to get started with the Unicontrol3D application.

Kurt Deleu, head of product management for excavators at Volvo CE, expressed the company’s commitment to making advanced technology open and easy to use. He highlighted the benefits of the partnership with Unicontrol, stating that it will provide greater freedom, efficiency, and simplicity for customers on every jobsite.

Unicontrol is known for its open, flexible, and cost-efficient 3D machine control solutions, aligning with Volvo CE’s focus on digital innovation. The Danish-based company’s software is designed for flexibility, allowing it to seamlessly integrate with any type of excavator, data format, or workflow without locking contractors into a single ecosystem.

Niels Bjerregaard, CEO of Unicontrol, emphasized the growing demand for flexible and accessible 3D machine control technology. He believes that the partnership between Volvo CE and Unicontrol will set a new standard in the industry by prioritizing efficiency, adaptability, and ease of use.

Overall, this collaboration between Volvo CE and Unicontrol is set to revolutionize the construction equipment industry by making advanced technology more accessible and user-friendly for contractors and operators.
