Family-Owned Stockton Business Repairs Damages After Smash-and-Grab ATM Theft

The small family-owned business in Stockton, Circle K, is facing a major setback after a group of suspects smashed into the store and made off with the ATM. The incident occurred in the early morning hours on Saturday when three cars pulled into the parking lot of the 24-hour convenience store.

One of the vehicles backed into the store, causing significant damage by shattering the glass door, ripping out electrical wires, and taking the ATM. Surveillance footage captured at least three suspects lifting the ATM and carrying it to a second car waiting in the parking lot.

The owner of the store, Nick Singh, expressed his devastation at the scene, stating that the damage will cost him at least $50,000. The incident lasted only 60 seconds, but the impact on the business is significant.

Interestingly, the car used in the smash and grab was later found to be stolen from Oakland and has since been returned to its owner. The owner of the vehicle also spoke out about the robbery, expressing her dismay at the damage caused to her car.

Despite the challenges, Singh is determined to restore the business to its former state. Replacement doors were being installed on Monday night, with the community rallying around to support the clean-up efforts.

The incident has not only affected the business financially but has also taken an emotional toll on the family-owned establishment. Customers have been showing their support by stopping by the store, demonstrating the resilience and unity of the local community in the face of adversity.
