Tragedy Strikes Chester: Two Dead, Three Injured in Workplace Shooting at Linen Company
The quiet town of Chester, Pennsylvania was rocked by tragedy on Wednesday morning as a disgruntled employee opened fire at a family-owned linen business, killing two workers and injuring three others. The shooting took place at Delaware County Linen, a company that has been serving the community since 1988.
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer described the incident as “an absolute tragedy” during a news conference near the scene. He stated that the shooter, a co-worker at the business, walked in and targeted five of his colleagues. The suspect was quickly apprehended by police from nearby Trainer, Pennsylvania.
The shooting took place both inside and outside the business, with a handgun being used in the attack. Chester Police Commissioner Steven Gretsky expressed his sadness over the situation, emphasizing the need for support for the injured victims.
