Rhinelander Community Education is taking proactive steps to ensure local teens are equipped with essential financial skills before they enter the real world. The Rhinelander School District, in collaboration with the Community Education Program, is hosting a special course on personal finance for teenagers.
The program, set to take place later this month, will be facilitated by retired Rhinelander High School Finance instructor Patrick Kubeny. Over the course of four days, teens will engage in real-world exercises on money management, budgeting, earning, saving, investing, and spending.
Space for the program is limited, with the first 30 area students who sign up eligible to participate for free. Interested students can register by visiting the Rhinelander Community Education page and scrolling down to the My Money Camp section.
This initiative aims to empower teenagers with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed financial decisions as they transition into adulthood. By providing hands-on experience and expert guidance, the program seeks to equip young individuals with the tools they need to navigate the complexities of personal finance.
The program is scheduled to run in the evenings from January 27-30, offering a valuable opportunity for local teens to enhance their financial literacy and prepare for a successful future.
