Local Business Start-Up Raices Unidas Gets Boost from Fresno State
The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Fresno, California, as a local business start-up is making waves with the help of Fresno State. Raices Unidas, a non-profit focused on empowering the Latino community through financial literacy, is gaining momentum thanks to the support of the university.
Founded by Raul Lopez and Alexis Robledo at the Patiño School of Entrepreneurship, Raices Unidas has quickly grown into a full-fledged non-profit organization since graduating in June. With a mission to help Latinos across the United States gain a better understanding of financial literacy, the team is dedicated to making a positive impact.
Recently, Eric Ceballos and Dylan Schwartz joined the team, bringing their expertise in multimedia and graphic design to the table. Working out of the Water, Energy and Technology Center at Fresno State, the team has access to valuable resources and mentorship opportunities that are helping them thrive.
“We had already planned how we were going to do it, but having this office space at the WET Center has really allowed us to see this through,” said Lopez. With a network of mentors and access to sales and marketing resources, Raices Unidas is well-positioned for success.
As they continue to grow the organization through workshops and online resources, the team is grateful for the support they have received. With a bright future ahead, Raices Unidas is poised to make a lasting impact on the Latino community.
