New Photos Released of Alleged Killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson
The NYPD released new photos of the alleged killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, shedding more light on the brazen Midtown murder that shocked the city. The suspect, captured in images taken after the heinous crime, is seen sitting in a taxi, masked and looking directly into the camera as he talks to the driver through a divider window.
Police sources confirmed that the suspect took a cab out of the Central Park area after the murder outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown. Another photo shows the killer walking on the street, wearing a hoodie and black down jacket. These photos were taken after the suspect allegedly killed Thompson, adding to the intensity of the investigation.
The killer’s backpack, found in Central Park, contained a jacket and fake money from the board game Monopoly. The weapon used in the murder is believed to be a type of veterinarian gun that requires a reload after every shot, with bullet casings marked with words like “Depose” and “Deny,” possibly referencing a book critical of the health insurance industry.
Thompson was gunned down in a targeted attack outside a luxury Midtown hotel, with security camera footage capturing the entire assassination. The suspect may have been a disgruntled employee or client, as indicated by the writings on the bullet casings. The suspect’s escape route involved taking a bike to Central Park, then a cab to the Port Authority bus terminal, leading investigators to believe he may have left the city on an interstate bus.
As the manhunt for the suspect enters its fifth day, Mayor Adams stated that the “net is tightening,” but declined to reveal the suspect’s name. The city remains on edge as the search for justice in this high-profile case continues.
