UP Luge Club in Negaunee Welcomes Winter Sports Enthusiasts

The UP Luge Club in Negaunee, Michigan is gearing up for an exciting winter season as they open their doors to luge enthusiasts of all ages. After facing a snowless season last year, organizers are thrilled to welcome visitors back to the club for some thrilling winter fun.

According to organizers, the club has been growing in popularity each year, with more and more people deciding to join after just a few visits. Kirsten Matthews, one of the organizers, describes luging as an upgrade to traditional sledding, offering participants the opportunity to go further, faster, and with more control.

“We use a special sled that brings you closer to the ground and gives you a chance to steer,” Matthews explained. “You use your body to steer a little bit more, and you’re on an ice track so you can actually go a little faster. You can start as simple as you want and work your way up to more advanced runs.”

Tickets for the club are priced at $30 for adults and $20 for children 15 and under for a full day of luge fun. Whether you’re a seasoned luger or a first-timer looking for a new winter adventure, the UP Luge Club is the place to be this season.

Don’t miss out on the excitement – head to Negaunee and experience the thrill of luging for yourself!
