EtherCAT Technology Group Members Re-Elect Board of Directors at SPS 2024
In a recent event at the SPS trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, the EtherCAT Technology Group (ETG) held its Membership Assembly and re-elected its board of directors. The three board members, Dmitry Dzilno from Applied Materials, Dr. Gerhard Grunwald from the German Aerospace Center, and Martin Rostan from Beckhoff Automation, were all unanimously re-elected for the next two years.
The ETG, which boasts over 7,950 members from 75 countries, also celebrated a successful showcase at SPS – Smart Production Solutions 2024. With over 500 EtherCAT products on display at their joint booth in Hall 5, the group made valuable connections with trade show visitors despite the current economic challenges.
EtherCAT, an Industrial Ethernet technology known for its high performance, low cost, and flexible topology, has been an international standard since 2007. The ETG continues to promote and advance the technology through its participation in trade shows worldwide.
