ITIDA and DXC Technology Partner to Enhance Software Engineering Standards in Egypt

In a move to boost the competitiveness of the Egyptian software industry and increase its exports, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with DXC Technology. The collaboration aims to maximize the benefits of high-quality training, certification, consulting, and evaluation services offered by ITIDA through its Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC).

The partnership will focus on improving the quality and efficiency of operations in service export centers for both global and local companies operating in Egypt. Additionally, the skills of the workforce will be enhanced and certified at an international level.

Ahmed El-Zaher, CEO of ITIDA, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “Through this collaboration, we aim to provide a comprehensive umbrella of training, consulting, and certification services to enable companies to apply internationally recognized software engineering standards. This will ultimately strengthen Egypt’s position as a leading hub for software and technology service exports.”

ITIDA’s SECC, established in 2001, is a prominent entity in the information and communications technology sector in Egypt. It operates as a center of expertise and provides technical consulting and certification services to software companies. The SECC offers a range of services including training, consulting, evaluation, and international certification in various fields of software engineering and IT service management.

By partnering with DXC Technology, ITIDA is taking a significant step towards elevating software engineering standards and professional practices in Egypt. This collaboration underscores ITIDA’s commitment to creating a supportive and stimulating environment for technological growth and innovation, ultimately benefiting both Egyptian and global companies operating in the country.
