Indian man shares scary video of ‘traffic’ on Mount Everest, calls climb ‘not a joke’

An Indian man recently shared a chilling video of the crowded conditions on Mount Everest, emphasizing the seriousness of the climb. Rajan Dwivedi, who fulfilled his ten-year dream of reaching the summit of the world’s highest peak, posted the video on Instagram. The footage showed a long queue of climbers on the mountain, a sight that has become increasingly common in recent years.

The congestion on Everest was exacerbated by a tragic incident involving British climber Daniel Paterson and his Nepali Sherpa, Pastenji, who were struck by falling ice while descending from the summit. Dwivedi’s video captured the chaotic scene on the mountain, highlighting the challenges climbers face in navigating the crowded routes.

In his Instagram post, Dwivedi described the treacherous conditions on Everest, citing the need to navigate through traffic while contending with extreme weather conditions. He mentioned the three toughest climbs on the mountain, including the perilous Khumbu Icefalls and the grueling ascent to the summit in the death zone.

Despite the risks and difficulties, Dwivedi noted that hundreds of climbers from around the world attempt to conquer Everest each year, with only a select few achieving success. The video serves as a stark reminder of the dangers and challenges that climbers face on the world’s highest peak.
