Colorado Springs Ranks 3rd Best City to Live in Nation

In a recent report by U.S. News and World Report, Colorado Springs has been named the 3rd best city to live in the nation. The rankings are based on a variety of factors, including Quality of Life, Value Index, Desirability Index, and Job Market Index.

According to U.S. News and World Reporter Erika Giovanetti, Colorado Springs excelled in terms of Desirability, ranking #1 in the nation in a survey of 3500 people. “Something just draws people to Colorado Springs and makes it a place where people want to be,” Giovanetti stated.

While Colorado Springs performed well in the Job Market and Quality of Life Index, it ranked lower in the Value Index, coming in at #58. This index is determined by factors such as housing affordability and price parity.

Johnna Reeder Klaeymeyer, CEO and President of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, acknowledged the need for improvement in areas such as affordable housing, childcare access, and education quality. Despite this, she expressed satisfaction with the city’s overall ranking. “Last year, we were ranked number nine, so we’re now at number three. I’ll take number three all day long. It’s a day to celebrate in Colorado Springs,” Klaeymeyer said.

As Colorado Springs continues to strive for improvement, its high ranking in the U.S. News and World Report serves as a testament to the city’s appeal and quality of life.
