Ukraine Updates List of Tax-Free Imported Goods: Details and Changes

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has recently updated the list of goods and services that can be imported tax-free, with a focus on charitable donations to support civil society organizations, the Ukrainian Defence Forces, combatants, and internally displaced persons.

The updated resolution reduces the list of goods from about 500 to 133 items, but includes new goods and services relevant to the current situation in the country. The list now includes items such as unmanned systems, electronic warfare equipment, tactical medicine means, and services like medical and education services.

In addition to the updated list, the government has introduced two significant initiatives to provide wartime assistance. The Automated Humanitarian Aid System (AHAS) has recorded over 150,000 shipments since its launch in December 2023, providing prompt support to those in need. The government has also implemented a simplified procedure for registering volunteer vehicles imported by military personnel to support the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

These changes aim to provide combatants, military personnel, veterans, and internally displaced persons with medical and educational assistance funded by charitable donations. The government continues to support initiatives that strengthen the country’s defense and provide assistance to those in need during these challenging times.
