Colette Honorable appointed as Exelon Corp’s next Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary
Colette Honorable to Take on Expanded Role as Exelon’s Chief Legal Officer
In a strategic move, Colette Honorable is set to assume the role of chief legal officer (CLO) and corporate secretary at Exelon Corp, taking over from Gayle Littleton who will be stepping down effective January 1, 2025. Honorable, who currently serves as the executive vice president for public policy and chief external affairs officer, will continue to lead Exelon’s public policy, legislative and regulatory affairs, and corporate-giving work.
Since joining Exelon in 2023, Honorable has been instrumental in expanding the utility company’s advocacy efforts with policy makers, community leaders, and partners. Her background includes serving as a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and as the commissioner and chair of the Arkansas Public Service Commission.
Littleton, who joined Exelon in 2020, played a key role in leading the transactional and regulatory approvals efforts for the separation of Exelon’s generation and retail power business from its utility business in 2022. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead during a period of significant change and is confident in Honorable’s ability to lead the legal department into the future.
Calvin Butler, Exelon president and CEO, commended Littleton for her leadership and achievements, while expressing confidence in Honorable’s ability to advance the company’s legal and federal policy efforts. Honorable’s appointment signifies a new chapter in Exelon’s journey, as she takes on the responsibility of advocating for customers and communities in every jurisdiction they serve.
