Title: Content Creator Dolly Singh Opens Up About Body-Shaming Experience at Ambani Reception
Dolly Singh, a popular content creator with over 1.6 million followers on Instagram, recently shared her experience of being body-shamed at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s reception. Singh attended the ‘Mangal Utsav’ ceremony held at the Jio World Centre in Mumbai, where she was among the numerous influencers invited by the Ambani family.
In a video posted on Instagram, Singh revealed how a woman at the reception made hurtful comments about her body. The woman reportedly told Singh, “Aap toh bade skinny ho real life mein, aap camera pe bade acchhe dikte ho. But real like mein aap bahut hi zyada skinny ho (You are very skinny in real life. You look very good on camera but you are very skinny actually).”
This incident left Singh feeling uncomfortable and she decided to confront the woman about her remarks. Singh emphasized the importance of not making such comments to someone’s face and stood up for herself in the situation.
Singh, who has been vocal about her experiences with body-shaming and insecurities, used this incident as an opportunity to address the issue and raise awareness about the impact of such comments.
At the reception, Singh stunned in an elegant grey and silver saree by a Delhi-based brand called Amaare. She accessorized her look with a potli bag and kept her accessories minimal.
Influencers who attended the event included Ankush Bahuguna, Kusha Kapila, Komal Pandey, Siddharth Batra, and Ranveer Allahbadia.
This incident sheds light on the importance of body positivity and the impact of hurtful comments on individuals. Singh’s courage to speak out about her experience serves as a reminder to treat others with kindness and respect, regardless of their appearance.
