Bronx Week Celebrates Small Business Owners and Future Growth Opportunities
Bronx Week is in full swing, and the spotlight is on small business owners who are looking to make a big impact in their community. The Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC) has selected five finalists who will present their proposals for a chance to win funding to grow or expand their businesses.
Among the finalists are Green Canvas Productions, a media production company, Scigene, a virtual reality start-up, Mario’s Restaurant, a legacy restaurant in the Bronx’s Little Italy section, Gomez Design Studio, a custom woodworking company, and Bronx Native, a Bronx-based clothing line and store.
These entrepreneurs are passionate about their businesses and are eager to use the funding to make a positive impact in their community. From virtual reality STEM education platforms to revitalizing neglected spaces, each finalist has a unique vision for the future.
The first-place winner will receive $10,000, while second and third-place winners will receive $2,000 each, and fourth and fifth-place winners will receive $500 each. The finalists will present their proposals at Yankee Stadium before a panel of judges, showcasing their creativity and dedication to their businesses.
