Florida Cities Shine in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Places to Live Rankings

Naples, Florida, has been named the top place to live in the U.S. by U.S. News & World Report, making it the only Florida city to crack the top 10 out of 150 total cities on the list. The ranking is based on factors such as desirability, job market, and quality of life.

Sarasota, which was the highest-rated Florida city last year, fell to No. 11 this year. Other Florida cities that made the top 150 include Pensacola, Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, Tallahassee, Ocala, Lakeland, Port St. Lucie, Daytona Beach, and Miami.

In addition to being named the top place to live, Naples also ranked sixth in the list of The 10 Best Places to Retire in the U.S. in 2022. The city’s strong showing in these rankings reflects its overall appeal and quality of life.

Florida’s population growth is evident in the list of the fastest-growing places in the country, with four of the top five spots being occupied by Fort Myers, Port St. Lucie, Daytona Beach, and Tallahassee. Additionally, Pensacola and Port St. Lucie were named among the safest places in the U.S.
