Box Office Collection Report of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki
Shah Rukh Khan’s latest movie, “Dunki,” has been making waves at the box office since its release on December 21. The film opened to a strong start, raking in ₹29.2 crore net in India on its first day. However, there was a slight dip in collections on the second day, with the film earning ₹20.12 crore nett, marking a decrease of 31.1%.
Despite the initial drop, “Dunki” saw a significant upswing over the weekend. Saturday’s collections bounced back to ₹25.61 crore net, a 27.29% increase from the previous day. Sunday’s figures continued to rise, reaching ₹30.7 crore net, reflecting a 19.88% increase and showcasing the film’s growing appeal.
As of Monday, early estimates suggest that “Dunki” has collected ₹24.32 crore net, bringing the total net collection in India to an estimated ₹135.85 crore after five days. The movie has also been performing well globally, with total worldwide collections reaching ₹256 crore, including ₹100 crore from overseas markets.
“Dunki” has now entered the top-grossers club of Bollywood in 2023, surpassing films like “OMG 2” and “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.” The movie’s next target is to surpass “The Kerala Story,” which has a total collection of ₹302 crore.
In comparison, Prabhas’ movie “Salaar: Cease Fire – Part 1,” which was released the day after “Dunki,” has also been performing impressively at the box office. “Salaar” has earned nearly ₹271.6 crore in the domestic market in just 5 days and has a worldwide collection of ₹391.5 crore.
Overall, both “Dunki” and “Salaar” have been dominating the box office, showcasing the star power of Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas. It will be interesting to see how these movies continue to perform in the coming days.
