Bronx Week hosts competition for small business owners to expand their companies, culminating in grand finale at Yankee Stadium

Bronx Week Celebrates Small Business Owners and Future Growth Opportunities

Bronx Week is in full swing, and the spotlight is on small business owners who are looking to make a big impact in their community. The Bronx Economic Development Corporation (BXEDC) has selected five finalists who will present their proposals for a chance to win funding to grow or expand their businesses.

Among the finalists are Green Canvas Productions, a media production company, Scigene, a virtual reality start-up, Mario’s Restaurant, a legacy restaurant in the Bronx’s Little Italy section, Gomez Design Studio, a custom woodworking company, and Bronx Native, a Bronx-based clothing line and store.

These entrepreneurs are passionate about their businesses and are eager to use the funding to make a positive impact in their community. From virtual reality STEM education platforms to revitalizing neglected spaces, each finalist has a unique vision for the future.

The first-place winner will receive $10,000, while second and third-place winners will receive $2,000 each, and fourth and fifth-place winners will receive $500 each. The finalists will present their proposals at Yankee Stadium before a panel of judges, showcasing their creativity and dedication to their businesses.

Bronx Week is a celebration of the borough’s vibrant community and the resilience of its small business owners. Stay tuned to see which entrepreneur will take home the top prize and continue to make a difference in the Bronx.
