In addition to being named the best hospital in the state, HUMC also earned a spot in the Top 5 in the New York metro area. The competition for the top spot in New Jersey was fierce, with HUMC narrowly edging out Morristown Medical Center for the second year in a row. These two hospitals have been the only ones to hold the No. 1 ranking in the state over the past 11 years.
