Due Sorelle Food Imports: Bringing a Taste of Italy to Columbiana County

“Sisters Bring Taste of Italy to Columbiana County with Due Sorelle Food Imports”

LISBON — A new business in Columbiana County is bringing the flavors of Italy straight to local doorsteps. Due Sorelle Food Imports, founded in 2023 by sisters Lindsey Jeffreys and Ashley Foster, is making a name for itself by importing high-quality European ingredients, food, and wine.

The idea for Due Sorelle stemmed from the sisters’ shared love for European cuisine and a desire to provide pure, quality foods to their customers. Lindsey and Ashley, with backgrounds in marketing and culinary education, respectively, combined their skills to create a business that offers a taste of Italy without the need for international travel.

Since its inception, Due Sorelle has been importing a variety of traditional Italian products, including olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dried pasta, salt, and mushroom products from different regions of Italy. The sisters take pride in sourcing their products from family-owned manufacturers with a long history of producing top-quality goods.

While Due Sorelle currently operates online, the sisters have plans to open a brick-and-mortar retail store and culinary education center by the first quarter of 2026. In the meantime, customers can experience Due Sorelle’s offerings at various events and collaborations in the area.

One such event is “A Night at the Museum,” a collaboration between Beresford’s Craft Meats and Deli at the Lou Holtz Museum in East Liverpool. Due Sorelle will also be featured at “Flavors of Italy: Cocktails with Birdfish Brewing Co. and Cuisine with A Movable Feast” in Columbiana.

For those interested in culinary education, Due Sorelle has partnered with The Smucker House in Salem to offer cooking classes focused on seasonality and locality of ingredients. Tickets for these classes can be purchased on the Due Sorelle website.

With a commitment to providing authentic Italian products and a passion for sharing their love of food with the community, Lindsey and Ashley are excited to continue growing Due Sorelle Food Imports and bringing a taste of Italy to Columbiana County.
