La Salle Business Association Facilitates Meeting Between Downtown Businesses

In a bid to foster collaboration and communication among downtown businesses in La Salle, CL Real Estate Development has sought the assistance of the La Salle Business Association (LBA) to organize a meeting.

LBA President Christopher L. Duncan revealed that discussions with CL Real Estate Development began last week, with the aim of bringing together downtown businesses to discuss ways to further develop and enhance the business district. The LBA has since been reaching out to businesses to gauge interest in the meeting.

While no concrete plans have been set regarding the time, location, or agenda of the meeting, Duncan emphasized the importance of providing a platform for business owners to freely exchange ideas without the pressures of public scrutiny.

The decision to host the meeting privately was a personal request from Duncan to CL Real Estate Development, with the hope of fostering a more open and productive dialogue among participants. CL CEO Hinesh Patel expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the city’s growth and business community through such initiatives.

The meeting comes in the wake of the La Salle City Council’s decision to terminate an economic development agreement with CL Real Estate Development over a downtown brewpub and apartment project. Despite this setback, both parties remain optimistic about the potential for collaboration and growth in the downtown area.

The proposed meeting aims to facilitate discussions on how businesses can work together to attract new residents, generate more jobs, and enhance the overall economic landscape of La Salle. With a focus on future development and growth, the LBA hopes to engage all downtown businesses in shaping the city’s business district.

Duncan expressed his optimism that the meeting will lead to increased communication and collaboration among business owners, ultimately benefiting both members and non-members of the LBA. As plans for the meeting continue to take shape, the LBA remains committed to its mission of supporting the growth and prosperity of downtown La Salle.
